The Result Is What Matters

Note 041 of 62 · 262 words · Learn What Money Is Really Doing

The person buying doesn't care how hard you worked.

That feels unfair. You spent months building it. Fixing it. Changing small details nobody will ever see.

But the person on the other side is asking one question. What changes for me?

That took me time. When you build something, every detail starts feeling important. The website. The product. The course. You know what had to be fixed. You know what took three times longer than planned.

The person using it cares about something else entirely. Not how it works. What it does for them. More time. Less stress. More customers. A problem finally gone.

The product matters. The result matters more.

When I finished writing a book I cared about every chapter I'd rewritten five times. The reader wanted to know one thing. Will this help me?

No one buys a drill because they love drills. They want a hole in the wall. People don't join a gym because they love gym memberships. They want to feel healthier. Nobody buys software for the software. They want their work to get easier.

It goes beyond business. In your career, people don't care what skills you have. They care what those skills solve. At work, nobody cares how busy you are. They care what you deliver. In life, people don't remember what you said you'd do. They remember what changed because you showed up.

It's easy to spend all your time explaining what something is. The features. The effort. The plan. The person listening is wondering what it changes.

The result is the point.
